Hey Reader! I always loved Focaccia. In Siena we call it Ciaccino (Schiacciata in other parts of Tuscany). It's thinner and chewier than other types of Focaccia (forget the huge bubbles you see on TikTok) and it's everyone's favorite afternoon snack. I used to eat it almost every day after school or after a grocery shopping trip with my mom, ripping warm pieces directly from the bakery bag in the car. When I moved abroad and started making it myself to satisfy the craving, I started to experiment with flavorings and I have still so many I want to try, like a cinnamon roll focaccia, or a chocolate one. Would you be interested in the recipe? βSchiacciata (Tuscan Focaccia Bread)βSchiacciata is the Tuscan version of Focaccia bread, the same I ate every day growing up, for breakfast or as a snack. Topped with plenty of good olive oil and salt to make every bite unforgettable. Eat it by itself, as a side to a main course, or turn it into a sandwich. However you eat it, you're gonna love it!
